About Us

Our Venue

Lamp-Lite Theatre's intimate auditorium comfortably seats 216 and  each row is elevated above the one in front so that there is truly no  bad seat in the house. Area artists exhibit in the lobby for each show,  while other scenic artists create an ever-changing panorama as settings  for the plays.

Volunteers join the ever-broadening number of  participants of our community theatre, acting on stage, running lights,  building and painting sets, making music, dancing, working the box  office, ushering, putting together publications, mail-outs, grant  applications, benefits, etc.

“It’s all part of the show at Lamp-Lite,” says Lamp-Lite Founder & Director Sarah McMullan.

Recent Maintenance & Improvements

This  past year, we painted the Theatre entrance, lobby and auditorium. We  also upgraded our electrical system. In addition to all this, we  installed an improved system for hanging our art exhibits.

Most  recently, we installed new sound equipment that will enable us to offer  more and better sound effects; added another layer of insulation under  the floor to keep the Theatre more comfortable for audience and actors  alike; and repaired the roof in the costume room to protect our valuable  store of costumes.

These improvements to the Theatre building are made possible by the generosity of the late Jo Price, patron and supporter of the Lamp-Lite Theatre.

Building & Maintenance Fund

We welcome your contributions to our Building & Maintenance Fund for Lamp-Lite Theatre. Now in our 52nd Season, we look with pride at our "vintage old building."

Originally  built from hundred-year-old planks from the Phelan Warehouse, our  building has been added to, and improved, many times over the years and  is always in need of a "little face lift."

As a reminder, Lamp-Lite Threatre is an IRS-approved 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and your donations should be tax deductible.
