Lamp-Lite Theatre is a community playhouse that relies entirely on volunteers, especially in these categories:
If you are interested in volunteering (either front of house or backstage), please email us at lamplitetheatre@gmail.com.
Anyone interested in performing in one of our Lamp-Lite plays should email lamplitetheatre@gmail.com with name and contact information to schedule an audition.
AUDITION & VOLUNTEER FORM
If you are scheduled to audition for a role in any Lamp-Lite play, please download the Audition & Volunteer Form below, fill it out, and bring it with you to the audition.
It is the “out front” volunteers that our patrons and customers have the most frequent or direct contact with. Volunteers help us meet our objective of making every patron’s theater-going experience a pleasant and enjoyable one. The work is not difficult, but it does require an interest in assisting Lamp-Lite patrons.
"Front-of-House" Volunteers serve in three main areas as follows:
All volunteers will receive a COMPLIMENTARY TICKET to that day’s performance and, once the lights go down, they may take a seat in the auditorium and enjoy the play.
After the play, volunteers will help tidy up the theater and empty the waste baskets into the dumpster outside.
If you would like to become a FRONT-OF-THE-HOUSE volunteer, download a copy of the Audition & Volunteer Form, fill it out, and email to the HOUSE MANAGER at lamplitetheatre@gmail.com.
A crucial part of a live performance happens behind the scenes, both before a production is mounted and during its run.
The four-to-six week period between plays is an extremely busy one for our crew of volunteers. Just as soon as one of our plays is completed, work begins on set construction for the next play. Scenery must be built and painted, props built or acquired, costumes created, etc.
If you would like to become a BACKSTAGE volunteer, download a copy of the Audition & Volunteer Form, fill it out, and email to lamplitetheatre@gmail.com.

Stage Manager & Set Construction —
Stage lighting and sound, including music, are absolutely critical elements to any stage performance. As a non-profit community theatre, all of our sound and lighting personnel are unpaid volunteers who draw satisfaction from their love of theatre.
Each performance requires two people in the sound and light booth. Volunteers should be available for every performance of the two-week run of that particular play, in addition to several rehearsals.
If you would like to become a SOUND & LIGHTING volunteer, download a copy of the Audition & Volunteer Form, fill it out, and email to lamplitetheatre@gmail.com.

The Lamp-Lite Players are an acting troupe from which performers for our plays are selected. As a result, we do not schedule formal auditions more often than about once a year, in addition to the children's auditions for our annual summer musicals.
That said, we are always eager to find new performers — adults of all ages, teens, singers, actors — to enhance and expand our coterie of performers.
Anyone interested in performing in one of our Lamp-Lite Theatre plays should download the Audition & Volunteer Form, fill it out, and email it to lamplitetheatre@gmail.com. Also, please bring a copy with you to the audition.
