2026-27 Lamp-Lite Season

The annual Lamp-Lite Gala, the official launch for the 2026-27 Lamp-Lite Theatre Season, will be held on Saturday, September 12, at 6:00pm. 

Admission is FREE, and we will have live entertainment. The event will be catered, so there is no need to bring any outside food as we have often done in the past.

Lamp-Lite Players volunteers with laptops will be available at the Gala to assist our patrons with purchasing their season tickets online.

The Gala will also serve as our Annual Membership Meeting, during which we will hold officer elections for the coming theatre season.

Opening night for the 2026-27 Season will be Friday, October 23, 2026.

The Odd Couple by Neil Simon is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.  It will be directed by Julie Gebhardt-Kilcullen.

This 1965 Broadway comedy is about two mismatched roommates: Oscar Madison (played by Cristóban Morones), a sloppy, easygoing sportswriter, and Felix Unger (played by Kevin Helmer), a fastidious, depressed news writer newly separated from his wife. When they move in together, their contrasting habits drive them to hilarious conflict.

Also appearing in this play are Todd Phillips, Tim Williams, Adan Morones, Riley Nichols, V Couch, and Cindy Hughes.

Auditions were held on September 5 & 6, 2026.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.  It will be directed by Cristóban Morones.

 A couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids, probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won’t believe the mayhem — and the fun — when the Herdmans collide head-on with the story of Christmas! 

Auditions will be held on September 19 & 20, 2026 at 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of LW Entertainment.  

It will be directed by Heath McCormack and Davy Thomas.

 This magical musical by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber retells the beloved story of Joseph and his coat of many colors. Told through an exciting mix of musical genres—from country and pop to rock and more—this colorful, energetic production is fun for the whole family!  

Auditions will be held on November 7 & 8, 2026, at 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Harvey by Mary Chase is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Dramatists Play Service.  It will be directed by Roz Couch. 

 A 1944 classic American comedy that follows Elwood P. Dowd, a mild-mannered man whose best friend is an invisible, six-foot-tall rabbit named Harvey. Elwood’s obsession with introducing Harvey to guests disrupts his sister’s social plans, sparking a chaotic and heartwarming look at sanity and acceptance. 

Auditions will be held on January 16 (10:00am to 12:00pm) & January 17, 2027 (1:00pm to 3:00pm).

Greater Tuna by Joe Sears, Jaston Williams, and Ed Howard is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.  It will be directed by Todd Phillips.

 Two actors create the entire population of Tuna, Texas in a tour de farce of quick-change artistry, changing costumes and characterizations faster than a jack rabbit runs from a coyote. Two actors, 20 characters, and a barrel of laughs, y’all. 

Auditions will be held at Lamp-Lite Theatre on March 13, 2027 (11am to 3pm) March 14, 2027 (1:00pm to 4:00pm).

Fiddler on the Roof by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

 With unforgettable songs like “Tradition,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” and “Sunrise, Sunset,” Fiddler on the Roof takes audiences on a heartfelt journey filled with laughter, romance, family, and tradition. Set in a close-knit community facing a changing world, this beloved musical celebrates the enduring power of family, faith, love, and hope. 

It will be directed by Shari Watterston Ellsworth. Auditions will be held at Lamp-Lite Theatre on May 1 & 2, 2027 at 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
