Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection.

Truvy’s Salon is Chinquapin, Louisiana’s go-to place for a beauty fix with a hearty side of gossip. Along with her overeager assistant Annelle (Kirsten Baker), Truvy (Cassidy Cash) pampers her small-town clients with hairdos, manicures and all kinds of unsolicited advice. 

Anybody who’s anybody is a regular: There’s the doting M’Lynn (Roni Lias) and her soon-to-be-married daughter Shelby (Faith Kolosci), the moody Ouiser (Carrie Butler Swann), and the well-to-do widow Clairee (Elaine Lambright). 

Through witty banter and wisecracks, this hodgepodge group of women form friendships as strong as steel, which they are forced to lean on when tragedy strikes.

Missy Devine will be directing the play, and auditions were held at Lamp-Lite Theatre on January 10 & 17.

TICKETS: 

Tickets to performances of STEEL MAGNOLIAS will be available beginning on February 23, 2026, and can ONLY be purchased online.  Any unsold tickets will be available for purchase at the Lamp-Lite Theatre box office 45 minutes before each performance.
